About us

NoFCAD’s committee meets three or four times a year with an annual general meeting held every April/May. If you are interested please have a look at the minutes of our last meeting.

What we do

NoFCAD exists to support and promote endeavour in the arts, in North Fremantle, Fremantle, and Western Australia in general. We do this primarily through operating the String Beans, Western Australia's only fully-inclusive community-run children's string orchestra.

We also run a beginner strings program, the Bean Sprouts, and operate a complementary children's drama program alongside the string ensemble.

As part of our commitment to endeavour in the arts, NoFCAD regularly invites Western Australian composers to write original compositions.

NoFCAD is supported generously by the State Government through ArtsWA's annual funding grants program.

NoFCAD is on the Commonwealth Register of Cultural Organisations and also operates a tax deductible charitable fund, the North Fremantle Cultural Development Fund.
